SEGA has unveiled the official boxart for the PAL release of its upcoming platform title, Sonic Unleashed.
Due out later this year, Sonic Unleashed allows players to control the spiky blue protagonist in ‘werehog’ form for the first time in the series, with locations spanning many ‘real world’ settings, including Europe, Greece, China and Africa.
Gameplay is comprised of an amalgamation of classic 2D side-scrolling levels spliced with the traditional third person perspective seen in recent instalments such as Sonic Adventure and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Let’s just hope Unleashed has what it takes to restore some much needed life back into this venerable yet rapidly lagging series.
