Sony has announced that it will kick off a beta test for PlayStation 4’s System Software 3.5 in March, giving participants a sneak peek at a number of upcoming features for the company’s flagship gaming console.
The beta will kick off early next month and Sony is encouraging users to go ahead and sign up for the teaser.
"The beta program will kick off in early March, and if you’re part of it, you’ll receive an email with instructions on downloading the system software," said the platform holder. "You can roll back to the previous system software at any time, so don’t worry about downloading the beta. In order to sign up, you’ll need a PS4 with an internet connection and a master account.
"We’ll share more details on which features you’ll be able to test when the beta begins."
Of course, you aren’t guaranteed a place in the beta just by signing up, but it’s worth a shot if you really fancy getting in on the action.
What Sony hasn’t confirmed yet is what new features will be making their way to the PS4 as part of the update, or when the update itself will be rolled out.
Stay tuned to PSU for more details as we get them.
