Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will be hosting its annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) press conference on January 6, 2025 at 5.00pm PST/8.00pm EST. If you’re in the UK, this translates to 1.00am on January 7.
CES 2026 is set to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6 — 9, 2026, and while details are being kept under wraps right now regarding major plans from the tech giants that will be in attendance, we at least have some idea of what to expect. For starters, AMD is likely to present its new Ryzen chips during its press conference, and it is speculated it may showcase its FSR Redstone AI upscaling tech.
As for Sony, they’re probably going to focus on their TV lineup as CES has typically not focussed largely on its console gaming business, although at times it has provided a few teasers here and there. For example, in 2020, it revealed the logo for the PS5 prior to its proper reveal. Typically we also tend to get some details regarding PlayStation Productions’ movies or TV shows at CES, so we might get something on the God of War series.
Regardless, the general consensus for CES is to keep expectations a bit low when it comes to PlayStation-related content.
