In a recent annual Sony meeting taking place in a Tokyo hotel, President and CEO of Sony Corporation Howard Stringer, has praised gamers and publicly apologized once more for the PlayStation Network hack that occurred back in April.
"Our brand perception, you’ll be happy to know, is clearly improving again," said Stringer.
"My foremost responsibility to the board and all of you is to further advance the transformation process, firmly establish Sony’s position as a global product, content and service leader in the networked digital era and ensure our continued development and growth," he added.
The shareholder meeting wasn’t all positive however, focusing on the losses Sony received this year partly due to the Earthquakes in Japan impacting Sony factories, and the PSN hack causing the company stock price to fall 30% this year.
Stringer declared that his salary has been lowered to 345m yen (£2.7m/$4.27m) a year.
