Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that it will be providing a new date for the PS5 games reveal event ‘soon,’ after it was postponed due to the ongoing riots in North America.
PS5 Games Reveal Event Update
The format holder dropped the comment in the description for the YouTube video it originally posted for the video, which reads: “This event has been postponed. We’ll be in touch with a new date soon.”
Okay, so ‘soon’ could mean anything – days, weeks, as long as it takes – but hopefully Sony will figure out a new schedule for the event pretty sharpish. As far as we’re aware, we can expect around an hour’s worth of game footage at the showcase, so it’s going to be pretty major for Sony.
The PS5 is pencilled in for release in holiday 2020, and right now it’s not expected the system will be delayed due to the coronavirus.
