Sony responds to PSN connectivity issues

Sony has responded quickly to increasing reports that the PlayStation Network is yet again under strain, saying that it’s aware of ‘’minor network connectivity issues’’ across its online platforms.

The response comes following a number of complaints levelled on several social forums that Sony’s PSN was again sporadically shifting offline with indefinite loading and sign-in issues commonplace.

Many presumed that the downtime was in fact the maintenance period (scheduled for August 26) that was delayed following a highly-publicised DDoS attack on Sony’s servers during all of Sunday, but it seems as though issue springs from a different source entirely.

As ever, PlayStation Universe will keep you up-to-date with any information regarding the reported outage – stay tuned to our homepage/Twitter throughout the day and don’t forget to have your say in the comments section below.
