Sony has responded quickly to increasing reports that the PlayStation Network is yet again under strain, saying that it’s aware of ‘’minor network connectivity issues’’ across its online platforms.
Many presumed that the downtime was in fact the maintenance period (scheduled for August 26) that was delayed following a highly-publicised DDoS attack on Sony’s servers during all of Sunday, but it seems as though issue springs from a different source entirely.
Network update: engineers are aware of connectivity issues, are working to resolve. We’ll keep you posted – apologies for the inconvenience
