Nekki and Banzai Games have announced that upcoming beat-‘em-up SPINE — This Is Gun Fu is getting a physical release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The physical version of the game comes as part of a partnership between Nekki and Fireshine Games, with the latter handling production and global distribution for SPINE’s disc-based release. The game’s director, Dmitry Pimenov, commented:
Fireshine Games is one of the leading names in physical publishing — behind titles like Balatro, Overcooked!, Lies of P, and Jurassic World Evolution. Finding the right partner mattered, and we’re excited to collaborate with Fireshine on bringing SPINE to players worldwide.
SPINE — This Is Gun Fu takes the form of a single-player acton game focussing on proximity gun battles with the aesthetics of Gun Fu films. Players will be thrust into a cyberpunk-flavoured world as Redline, a rebellious street artist and her sentient combat implant, the titular SPINE. Here, you’ll fight to defy the autocratic AI regime while looking for Redline’s missing brother.
Nekki will publish SPINE for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.
