In July, a SPY×FAMILY collaboration with Street Fighter 6 was announced to promote the upcoming film SPY×FAMILY Code: White. Today, it was announced collab items will be available January 9, 2024. There is now a short anime film for the collab now streaming as well!
The collab anime is made by the SPY×FAMILY anime’s Wit Studio and features SPY×FAMILY’s Yor and Street Fighter’s one and only, Chun Li. While only about a minute long, the anime short pits the two powerful ladies fighting each other in a matchup fans could have only previously dreamed of.
Street Fighter 6 released earlier this year on June 2 and our review awarded it a 9 out of 10.
SPY×FAMILY Code: White hits theaters in Japan on December 22, 2023 and premiering in 2024 for the rest of the world. It features an original story by the original manga’s author Tatsuya Endo.
SPY×FAMILY began as a manga in Shonen Jump+ magazine and is written and drawn by Tatsuya Endo. An anime adaptation began last year with a second season currently running.
Crunchyroll‘s description of the anime series reads, “World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!”
A video game titled SPY×ANYA: Operation Memories was announced for release in the west in 2024.
