If you only own a PS4 and have never owned a PS3, you might be a little miffed about the fact that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, which contain the bulk of the Kingdom Hearts series, are only available on the last-gen Sony console.
However recent comments from co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series suggests that Square Enix isn’t ruling out a port to PlayStation 4.
In an interview with GameSpot, co-director Tai Yasue said:
“We haven’t come to decision and nothing is announced yet. We listen to our fans and our players and see what they think about it–and, yeah, I’m not ruling it out, but we’re not making an announcement just yet.”
As an added note, Yasue also provided an update on Kingdom Hearts III, stating that development on the title is in full motion and “moving along fine.”
Long before any sort of Kingdom Hearts Collection or Kingdom Hearts III touches down on PS4 though, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue (and breathe!) is set to release this December on Sony’s current-gen machine.
