Ubisoft had planned a sequel to Star Wars Outlaws but ultimately decided to scrap the project very early on, according to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming.
They also recently cancelled Star Wars Outlaws 2, because that was planned and in the works. It didn’t enter production, as far as I know. It wasn’t set in stone.
It’s well known by this point that Star Wars Outlaws wasn’t the commercial juggernaut that Ubisoft was hoping for, as the publisher has openly admitted that its sales didn’t meet internal expectations. Beyond that, the game’s critical response was lukewarm, which didn’t help matters.

Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, was asked about the disappointing performance of Star Wars Outlaws during a recent investors meeting, which he attributed to the general lack of interest in the Star Wars brand as a whole, describing it as being in “choppy waters.”
Star Wars Outlaws was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in August 2024. Following its lacklustre reception and poor sales, Ubisoft appointed a new creative director to see the game through its post-launch phase, which included various updates addressing a number of key areas including combat and stealth.
