EA is not planning a PS5 and Xbox Series X version of Star Wars Squadrons, according to an interview with the game’s director.
Star Wars Squadrons Not Getting PS5 & Xbox Series X Release
Ian Frazer revealed that “next-gen” versions of the upcoming game are not in the pipeline, but noted that you are still able to play the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility. So, for now at least, the game is only coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One.
Star Wars Squadrons is pencilled in for release on October 2, and pleasingly will not feature any microtransactions.
