Bit Reactor has revealed on Twitter that its planned Star Wars strategy game is still in production despite news last week that Respawn’s first-person shooter title has been shelved.
Last week was difficult for the industry, and more so because of our strong relationships within the other teams at Respawn. but for those asking, we are still hard at work, and our game was unaffected by last week’s news.

Not much is known about the strategy game, which was announced back in 2022 alongside Respawn’s Star Wars FPS, now believed to be based on the Mandalorian. The game’s cancellation was announced last week, which accompanied by a series of layoffs at publisher Electronic Arts.
Looking ahead, Respawn is focussing its efforts on the Star Wars Jedi franchise as well as its ongoing support for Apex Legends.
