Starfield PS5 Patch Now Available For Crash & Stability Fixes

Bethesda has released another Starfield PS5 patch that focuses on fixing a number of crash and stability issues, which follows on from last week’s update that focussed on bugs present in the PS5 Pro version of the game.

While the full Starfield PS5 patch notes haven’t been disclosed by Bethesda, it did offer the following statement in a post on its official X account:

We just released a hotfix for @StarfieldGame on PS5 which includes a fix for a crash that could occur while viewing load order as well as several other crash and stability fixes. Thank you to everyone who’s been playing the latest update and providing your feedback. If you’re still experiencing any crashing or other issues, we encourage you to reach out to our support team at http://help.bethesda.net and provide your info and a save file if you’re able — we’ll be addressing more issues across all platforms in a future update!

Starfield originally released for the PC and Xbox Series X/S in September 2023, and after around two years of rumours was finally released for the PS5 on April 7, 2026. The game benefits from a number of improvements over the standard version including various quality-of-life additions, and features all previously released DLC. But is all that enough to make Starfield worth buying on Sony’s home console? Read our verdict to find out!
