Street Fighter Movie Cast Expands With Jason Momoa & 50 Cent

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a number of casting details on the upcoming Street Fighter movie, with Aqua Man star Jason Momoa set to play Blanka and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson lined up to portray Balrog. This follows news from earlier in the week that Callina Liang will play Chun-Li in the flick.

Beyond that, the role of Ken is being played by Noah Centineo, while Orville Peck will portray Vega, Andrew Koji will take on the role of Ryu and Roman Reigns is set to portray Akuma. As previously reported, Kitao Sakuri is attached to direct the Street Fighter movie, which is set to begin production in August.

We reported back in May that both Momoa and Reigns were rumoured to be appearing in the Street Fighter movie, although at the time their role were being kept under wraps.

Street Fighter was famously adapted into a live action movie back in 1994, which featured Jean Claude Van-Damme and Kylie Minogue on the cast. Capcom also took another stab at bringing the series to the big screen in 2009 with Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which was a huge flop.

The latest entry in the video game series, Street Fighter 6, was released for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in June 2023, and is still receiving robust post-launch content with new characters and other extra content.
