The studio is known for working on various horror titles over the past decade or so, until Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and The Quarry, many of which have featured a number of well-known Hollywood actors. Until Dawn, for example, featuring Rami Malick, while The Quarry starred David Arquette of Scream fame.

Supermassive Games announced recently that it has delayed the release of Directive 8020 to the first half of 2026. Originally teased in the post-credits of The Dark Pictures: The Devil In Me, Directive 8020 was initially positioned as the season two premiere of the second season of The Dark Pictures Anthology, although SuperMassive Games recently revealed it is distancing itself from the season format, making Directive 8020 standout on its own from the rest of the anthology.
