Tekken 7 was originally released in Japanese arcades back in March 2015, and will arrive on PS4, PC, and Xbox One complete with all the extra content added with the Tekken 7 Fated Retribution update. According to a new report by Digital Foundry, the game will clock in at 900p/60fps on the PS4.
This latest instalment in the venerable fighting game franchise will focus on the long-running feud between the Mishima family, and features a dedicated story campaign that brings the narrative to the forefront. Tekken 7 also polishes up the gameplay with a number of new features, such as Rage Arts, Power Crush, and Tail Spin attacks, while the game’s roster has also expanded with a series of new characters among veterans such as Kazuya, Paul, Nina, Law, and Heihachi.
Tekken has remained synonymous with the PlayStation console brand since its debut back in 1994, although beginning with Tekken 6 the series transitioned into multiplatform territory. Tekken 3 remains one of the best-selling fighting games of all time and one of the most successful PSOne games ever, selling over 8.5 million copies worldwide since its console debut in 1998.
