The display resolution automatically changes in CUSTOMIZE MODE – PS4

Issue

When the player enters CUSTOMIZE MODE, the resolution automatically changes—and if the player then proceeds into battle, the frame rate may drop due to the change.

Solution

This issue will be solved through the latest Tekken 7 update 1.06.

Tekken 7 update 1.06 will be rolled out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One soon, according to series creator Katsuhiro Harada.

While it isn’t yet known what fixes the update will apply, there have been issues of users experiencing frame rate drops when entering and exiting the customisation options of Tekken 7. Harada-san said on Twitter that the update will be available soon.

Bandai Namco Games previously rolled out Tekken 7 update 1.05 for consoles, which implemented a number of changes for the fighting game sequel, chief among which includes the removal of a player’s name when matchmaking.

Tekken 7 was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on June 2, 2017, having previously rolled out in Japanese arcades in spring 2015. The game boasts an extensive cast of combatants, eschewing some old favorites to make room for newcomers such as Claudio, Gigas, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, and Shaheen.

In addition, the gameplay has received some notably changes, with the addition of Rage Arts and Rage Drives giving players access to cinematic, life-draining attacks that can quickly turn the tide of battle.

Elsewhere, the new Power Crush move allows you to trade blows with your opponent while still keeping the momentum of your attack, while the Tail Spin affords players the chance to juggle your opponent further before they hit the dirt.

Bandai Namco Games launched Ultimate Tekken Bowl last week, and has two more major DLC lined up for Tekken 7 between now and spring 2018.
