Tekken 8 Unveils Its Final Season 1 DLC Character, And It’s Final Fantasy XVI’s Clive Rosfield

Bandai Namco Games has pulled the wraps off the fourth and final DLC character for Tekken 8 Season 1 today at The Game Awards, confirming it’s not a returning fighter, but a guest character – Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI! He’s going to be available next week, and is the second Final Fantasy character to guest in the Tekken series after Noctis showed up in Tekken 7.

Tekken 8 has received three DLC fighters this year as part of its Season 1 roster, including Eddy, Lidia, and Heihachi. Bandai Namco announced during the Tekken World Tour Finals last weekend that Season 2 will be kicking off in 2025, and includes a wealth of new customisation features, including additions to Photo Mode and of course the much-requested balance patch that features new moves for all characters.

Tekken 8 was released in January 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The story picks up months after the defeat of Heihachi at the hands of his son, Kazuya, who is now hellbent on world domination with only a handful of resistance fighters – including Jin Kazama – standing in his way. The game introduces a brand new mechanic known as Heat, allowing characters to enter a powered-up state once per round, giving them access to new moves and greater chip damage.
