Atari has announced that the release of open-world racer Test Drive Unlimited 2 has been delayed until next year.
Originally pencilled in for release in September 2010, the sequel will now hit store shelves in Q1 2011. As such, the planned beta has also been pushed back to accommodate the new date.
Apparently, the decision to postpone the game’s launch boils down to developer Eden Games wanting to add a bit of spit and polish to the multiplayer component.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 is due out on PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
