Striking Distance Studios, the developer behind 2022’s The Callisto Protocol, has announced it is staffing up for a new ‘unannounced UE5 title’ and has a number of positions open for the mystery project.
One of the job openings is for a Lead Gameplay Animator, with the description reading as follows:
Striking Distance Studios is looking for a Lead Gameplay Animator to help us create the most dynamic and engaging player and enemy experiences for a brand new, unannounced UE5 title. The Lead Gameplay Animator’s main responsibilities are to plan, organize, supervise and inspire the work of his/her team.

Striking Distance Studios has had a bit of a bumpy ride since the release of The Callisto Protocol. The game failed to meet commercial expectations (although it still sold around 2 million copies), and in August last year was hit with a number of layoffs. Finally, in September, studio founder Glen Schofield announced he was leaving the company.
