The Elder Scrolls VI Is Reportedly Still At Least 2 Years Away From Release

Speaking during a Bloomberg Live Q&A yesterday, Jason Schreier claimed that Bethesda’s highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls VI is still “two to three years away at least” from release.

Bethesda originally announced The Elder Scrolls VI during E3 2018 and we haven’t see anything on the game since that time, and the company has stopped short of confirming when we’ll actually see the fantasy-RPG. Back in March, Todd Howard revealed during a roundtable that the “majority of this building” is working on The Elder Scrolls VI.

We feel we’re in a really good place with these franchises. Obviously, we’re around Fallout stuff as well, and we feel good about that. The trick is still we have three big audiences, and in some ways, three big franchises – and in a lot of ways, the franchise is the studio. Skyrim is somewhat the sequel to Fallout 3. Fallout 4 is somewhat our follow-up to Skyrim,” he said at the time.

In November last year, Howard made it clear that The Elder Scrolls VI wouldn’t be with us anytime soon, stating that it’s “still a long way off.” Last year, Bethesda released a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, so hopefully that will tide you over while you wait for the next chapter in the series.
