Cyberpunk actioner Ghostrunner has been acquired by publisher 505 Games, giving it full control over the IP and “all licenses for the technological solutions used in the game.”
505 Games originally collaborated with Polish company All In Games back in October 2020 to support Ghostrunner’s launch, but has now acquired the IP in a deal worth €5 million. All In Games will, however, continue to receive a share in profits from ongoing sales.
Piotr Żygadło, CEO of All In Games, revealed that both companies had previously competed for the Ghostrunner IP ahead of the game’s launch, but were “unable to reach a mutually beneficial agreement at the time.”
Ghostrunner quickly turned out to be huge success, which convinced [505 Games] to submit an offer — one of those ‘hard to refuse’ [offers].
Ghostrunner was released on October 27, 2020 PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Read our review here.
