You won’t have to wait long to find out what critics think of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic sequel, as the review embargo lifts at 12.01am on June 12. As mentioned, The Last of Us Part 2 title screen has also appeared online, likely via a member of the press who has received a review copy.
The Last of Us Part 2 is scheduled for release on June 19, and Sony will dedicate 25 minutes to the sequel in a new State of Play this Wednesday.
Set five years after the events of the first game, The Last of Us Part 2 reunites players with Ellie and Joel, with players controlling the former, who is now a 19-year-old hardened survivor of the apocalypse.
