Sony is finally rolling out the PS5 in China this weekend, and to celebrate, Shanghai is marking the occasion with a massive launch party. The console arrives in China six months after the US and Europe received the new console, so it’s been a bit of a wait.
As reported by IGN China’s Charles Young, the launch party is pretty extravagant, and features a bunch of PS5 games to go hands-on with. Check them out below.

The PS5 has sold over 7.8 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2021, although the console has been suffering from major stock issues due to a shortage of components brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

Jim Ryan, head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has revealed that the company is hopeful the stock issues will improve later in the year. Even so, it’s been suggested that PS5 supply could be limited into 2022.
