Developer Insomniac Games has revealed that it is possible for PS5 players to earn the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Platinum Trophy in a single playthrough, although it won’t be an easy task to say the least.
Speaking with IGN India, Insomniac Games’ Mike Daly revealed that the game will feature a challenge mode that allow you to carry over your character levelled up and packing some useful gadgets.
If you are the type of player who just really embraces the game and loves it, we are going to make it possible to get the Platinum without wasting your time. Now we know that some players really want to go much further than that, and much deeper into the game.
And so, as with past Ratchet games, we’ve got a challenge mode that lets you start from the beginning of the story again, but with your complete leveled up hero and arsenal, and a handful of gadgets.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is scheduled for release on PS5 on June 11, 2021. Sadly, Jim Ward, who voiced Captain Qwark in the previous games, will not be returning for Rift Apart due to ill health.
