The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will also receive a physical release for consoles once the first episode debuts, which includes the Season Pass for the remainder of the season.

The first season of The Walking Dead was released back in 2012 and picked up rave reviews from critics, including numerous Game of the Year accolades. Telltale supported the first season with the DLC 400 Days before debuting Season 2 shortly afterwards.

The Walking Dead video game series has sold over 50 million units worldwide. The series takes place within the same universe as the comic books, although the exploits of Rick Grimes and company are not depicted in the games, even though some key characters do briefly feature.
