Get ready to live, and relive, and relive your favorite series again Walking Dead fans.
In a press release on Wednesday, Nov 1, Telltale Games, along with Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment have proudly announced that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection will hit retailers in North America and Europe on Dec 5, and will also be available for digital download the same day.
The Walking Dead Collection contains a veritable feast of goodies, enough to make any Walking Dead connoisseur’s mouth salivate like their “walker” counterpart over a fresh survivor buffet.
Encompassing the entirety of Telltale’s genre defining games, the collection will include all 19 episodes of the award-winning series, bringing back not only graphically enhanced versions of Season One and its DLC 400 Days, Season Two, and Michonne, but also the most recent season, A New Frontier, which just wrapped up this past May.
As if that wasn’t enough to get your zombie senses tingling, Telltale also upped the ante, announcing that Gary Whitta will be returning as a Story Consultant for the upcoming final chapter of the series.
Whitta, who worked on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Book of Eli, was also on the original BAFTA-award winning team of writers for the first game in Telltale’s hauntingly poignant story.
Of the reveal, Whitta said that “Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine’s journey … was one of the highlights of my career,” and that “reuniting with them now to bring her story to a close … feels like a homecoming.”
Melissa Hutchison, voice actress for Clementine and winner of the 2013 Spike Video Game Award for Best Performance By a Human Female, was also on hand for the announcement, saying that “It’s incredible to see the series collection arriving all in one place for players … before we head into the final chapters of her storyline next year.”
Telltale’s epic finale to Clementine’s tale is set to release in 2018.
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection is coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One on Dec 5, 2017 for $49.99 USD, a massive bargain for all the content held within.
There may be dead inside, but this is one you’ll definitely want to open.
