Telltale Game has announced that its episodic zombie adventure series, The Walking Dead: Michonne, will debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 from February 23 with the first of three episodes, ‘In Too Deep.’
This will be followed by Episode Two: Give No Shelter and Episode Three: What We Deserve in March and April, respectively. Exact release dates for the final two episodes have yet to be finalised, but expect to hear something soon enough.
Each episode will retail for $14.99 and can be downloaded via the PlayStation Store as they arrive as part of the weekly update.
Based on the popular character from Robert Kirkman’s successful comic book series, The Walking Dead: Michonne kicks off with our heroine joining Pete and his crew on the sailing ship The Companion as they cruise the coast for survivors and supplies. When a desperate signal for help draws them to a scene of horrific massacre, Michonne and the crew are lead further to the floating survivors’ colony of Monroe, which may just be harboring the person responsible for the carnage.
The Walking Dead: Michonne explores the sword-wielding zombie slayer’s journey between the comic book issues 126-139, which sheds light on her reasons for abandoning Rick and company before she ultimately decides to return. Michonne is voiced in her three-part video game series by the award-winning actress, Samira Wiley, best known for her work on Orange is the New Black.
Telltale’s Walking Dead series launched in 2012 and has since gone on to sell over 50 million units worldwide, and scooping numerous Game of the Year awards in the process.
