The reported technical issues found within the PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be rectified with a day-one patch according to developer CD Projekt RED’s Community & Website Coordinator Marcin Momot.
Speaking on Twitter, Momot responded to a query from a fan asking about the apparent technical discrepancies by saying that the problem had already been addressed and would improve upon the game’s release on May 19.
@Yaqza81 Yes. We’ve already addressed this issue. Framerate will be better once we official launch the game.

Sparked from IGN’s review of CD Projekt RED’s latest offering, here’s what reviewer Vince Ingenito said about the technical hiccups present within the PS4 version of the game:
”The one caveat on all that though, is the technical performance on the PS4 version I played for review. 30 frames per second was sometimes too much to ask, transitions between The Witcher 3’s two main maps are just a bit too long, and minor glitches do pop up from time to time. None of it ever impacted gameplay in any meaningful way, thought it did compromise the beauty of the experience ever so slightly.”
Thankfully it looks as if these problems are only temporary and won’t affect the game upon its official release.
PSU’s review still needs a little more time in the oven but rest assured we’re determined to the deliver the most comprehensive one yet. Stay tuned.
