Fresh details on The Wolf Among Us 2 have surfaced in various previews following its re-reveal during Summer Game Fest last week. For starters, we now know that the game is running on Unreal Engine 5, but still retains its trademark comic book style.
According to a summary of info by X user Shinobi602, The Wolf Among Us 2 will last around 8-12 hours and is set to launch as one game, not episodically. This ties in with what we’ve previously heard from the game’s co-publisher, who heavily indicated that there wouldn’t be an episodic structure. Elsewhere, the developers confirmed that The Wolf Among Us 2 will take place six months after the original game, with many returning characters such as Bigby and Snow being reprised by their original actors with full motion capture.
There’s also going to be more interaction between humans and the Fables in the sequel, and Bigby is described as being the hunted rather than the hunter this time around. He can also explore areas with more freedom than past Telltale Games titles, including a full 360-degree camera. Finally, the game’s soundtrack will be composed by Jared Emerson-Johnson, who provided the score for The Wolf Among Us, while Telltale has improved the animations and fluidity for the sequel.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is scheduled for release in 2027.
