In a new blog post on the official Titanfall 2 website, Respawn Entertainment has outlined plans for the new Titanfall 2 DLC and the future of EA’s first-person shooter, in addition to talking about the new Star Wars game.
The good news is that Respawn says it’s “only just started” with Titanfall 2 and there’s lots of exciting things in development.

“Right now we’re focused on the long term future of Titanfall and we’re excited about it, “ reads the blog post.The core Titanfall team is working away on lots of cool stuff, whether that be DLC for Titanfall 2, action blocks and prototypes for future Titanfall projects, or other crazy science experiments. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to take you, our Community, along for this ride.”
The company says that it “remains committed to supporting Titanfall 2 with free content as well as new Prime Titans, store items, and more” and DLC plans for the new March content will be announced in full on March 23. This will be followed up details of Repawn’s longer term plans for the series in April, which include work on mobile games in the franchise.
Respawn also briefly talked about the new Stars War game that is currently in development.
“Titanfall isn’t the only game being worked on here at Respawn. Stig Asmussen, who previously worked on the God of War franchise, has been leading a separate team that has been quietly working away on our Star Wars title. That project is still wrapped in secrecy and we won’t be talking about it for a while.”
The developer is teaming up with Lucasfilm for the new Stars War game, but the only information currently known is that it will be an action-adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.
In another blog post, Asmussen said: “We promise to pay respect to the Star Wars legacy at all times, a fact that will be constantly reinforced and honored as a central game design tenet. Fans should expect the exemplary level of quality first established at Respawn with Titanfall, a game that epitomizes our studio’s dedication to slick, larger-than-life action and fun, groundbreaking mechanics. “
