Eva La Dare, who portrayed Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5, has confirmed fan speculation that she is appearing in Tomb Raider Catalyst, although wasn’t able to go into any detail on her role.
Speaking on social media, La Dare commented, “Can’t say more yet, but I’m so excited to be part of this legendary franchise.” She’s joining Alix Wilton Regan in the new game, who is taking over the role of Lara Croft from Camilla Luddington.
La Dare recently teased something related to the Resident Evil series’ 30th anniversary, prompting many to assume it will be a Resident Evil 5 Remake. However, insider Dusk Golem has insisted this isn’t the case, with Capcom instead set to reveal Resident Evil CODE: Veronica Remake later this year.
Tomb Raider Catalyst is a brand new entry in the long-running franchise that is currently slated to launch in 2027, and takes Lara to Northern India where she ends up battling against rival relic hunters while uncovering new mysteries. Crystal Dynamics is also working on Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, a full reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider.
