Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still no closer to seeing the light of day, and from the look of things, it’ll be a while before we see the game in stores as Ubisoft is still hiring for the project.
Ubisoft is looking for a 3D programmer to work on the long-delayed sequel, which at this point may as well be considered vapourware. One could argue it has been for years at this point, though. Anyway, the main point is, the game is no closer to nabbing a release date.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was originally announced way back in 2008 at one of Ubisoft’s events, which of course was back in the PS3 days. At the time, it was mooted that the game would be a ‘next-gen’ title, which meant PS4. That obviously never happened, either.

The project re-emerged at E3 2018 and we were treated to actual footage of the game, although back in July of this year, Jason Schreier said that the game was in the very early stages of development still.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is presumably in the works for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, as we can’t imagine it being a cross-generation title at this point.
