Naughty Dog has launched a summer sale for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s multiplayer component, offering a range of discounts on Uncharted Point items.
The sale lasts for four weeks, wrapping on August 17, and slashes prices by 25 – 40 percent off a variety of items, ranging from Chloe, the Dread Pirate Drake skin, and the P90. Bundles have also benefited from a price cut too.
Uncharted Points can be purchased via the in-game store or the PlayStation Store, starting with the 500 Points Uncharted Points Pack and maxing out with the 10,000 Points Pack. Bonus points are also included in the larger packs, ranging from 50-100 percent depending on the size of the pack.
Naughty Dog has confirmed that it will be supporting Uncharted 4’s multiplayer until spring 2017 with various new content, including free maps and other additions. The Santa Monica outfit is also working on the series’ first ever single-player DLC, although it’s still in the early stages of development.
Despite extensive post-launch support, Uncharted 4 will be Naughty Dog’s final game in the series, although there’s a possibility the franchise will continue with another developer at the helm.
The game has proven a considerable success, generating impressive scores from reviewers—check out PSU’s mighty 10/10 verdict—and selling over 2.7 million copies during its first week alone.
Uncharted launched back in 2007 on the PlayStation 3 and spawned two massively successful sequels with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009) and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (2011). Sony Bend also produced the PlayStation Vita prequel, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, in 2011.
To date, the action-adventure series remains one of Sony’s biggest first-party properties, selling over 28 million copies worldwide to date.
