UPDATE:
Check out the reveal trailer below.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
Former Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets has announced his new game during during a keynote at Croatia’s Reboot Develop event earlier today.
The project is called Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, and is currently in development at Disilets’ indie studio, Panache Digital Games. The game’s reveal was teased yesterday.
Sadly, there’s not much else to say at this point, as Disilets didn’t elaborate any futher on the game. However, considering he mentioned the fact the studio is hiring right now, it doesn’t sound like the title is very far into production.
Formally of Ubisoft, Disilets was previously linked to a title known as 1666 following his work on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. However, the game fell into Ubisoft’s lap after the collapse of THQ, with Disilets himself terminated by the French publisher soon after.
What happened after that isn’t know, although Disilets at the time insisted he was prepared to fight for ownership of the project.
