Destiny, one of the most anticipated games of 2014, finally launches in just four days, and the surprises from Bungie are coming faster than ever. Merely two days removed from the announcement that Exodus Blue, one of Destiny’s PvP maps, will be temporarily exclusive to PlayStation consoles, Bungie today announced an upgrade plan for Destiny from previous-generation consoles to current-generation ones.
Very important information for anyone who plans to migrate from last-gen to next-gen: http://t.co/lKPY0UZshy

The plan only works for digital copies of Destiny. Gamers who purchased either the PlayStation 3 or the Xbox 360 versions of Destiny can upgrade to the PS4 or Xbox One versions, respectively, at no charge.
Gamers can only upgrade within the same brand–that is, PS3 gamers can only upgrade to the PS4 version of the game and not the Xbox One version–however, once the upgrade to the current-generation version is complete, gamers will still be able to play the game on their previous-generation consoles. The PlayStation and Xbox user accounts will retain the licenses for both versions of the game.
Further, all game progress, character stats, and gear will be waiting and ready on the new console after the upgrade, and gamers will be able to continue playing Destiny at current-generation quality right where they left off.
This is a very classy move from Bungie, and with launch day just around the corner, news about Destiny is flying. For more great Destiny news and the greatest news in PlayStation gaming, stick to PSU.com.
