Bigben Interactive has today revealed the new High Elf Mage for its forthcoming fantasy hack and slash Diablo-alike, Warhammer: Chaosbane.
High Elf Character Revealed For Warhammer: Chaosbane
Elontir the High Elf Mage is just one of the four characters that players will be able to pick from in Warhammer: Chaosbane. A veteran warrior who has previously tangled with the forces of Chaos at the battles of Praag and Kislev, Elontir is a ranged damage specialist who can devastate enemies with magical attacks but who can also use his uncanny dexterity to avoid incoming damage, too.
Each of the four playable characters have their own special ability and Elontir is no different.
Elontir’s ability is that he can accurately control the exact area of effect of any spell which he casts. In practice, this means he can slow down enemy hordes, or, force them towards his more melee minded friends to carve them up quickly and easily. See? Co-operation!
If you’re unfamiliar with Warhammer: Chaosbane the premise is wonderfully simple. As a team of heroes that inhabit the Old World in the Warhammer Fantasy universe, players must deal with the rise of evil forces that have appeared after the conclusion of a bloody battle against the forces of Chaos.
A dungeon crawling adventure very much in the mold of Blizzard’s Diablo games, Warhammer: Chaosbane is stuffed to brim with quests to complete, loot to collect, gear to equip and monsters to kill as it generously cribs from the lore upon which it is based. Better still is the fact that Warhammer: Chaosbane can be tackled co-operatively with up to four players either online or locally.
While a Warhammer: Chaosbane PS4 release date has yet to be announced, we do have a video of that High Elf Mage lad we were talking about below.
Warhammer: Chaosbane is in development for PS4, PC and Xbox One and is set to release sometime in 2019.
