Square-Enix has released another preview of what’s to come in the 2.1 patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
In case you missed it, check out Tim’s official review of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which he calls "the most compelling case for subscription-based gaming in almost a decade."
Customization is the name of the game with update 2.1, and the first peek at its execution has a lot of potential. PvP is set to add variety in FF XIV when this patch lands, but housing takes the stage as the first preview in vivid detail. The eight-minute video goes through a wide array of house and landscape options for future FF XIV property owners. The video also includes a snippet of one of the greatest underappreciated features in all MMOs: auto-sort inventory, which can be found at 2:38.
Housing in an MMO has never looked better: the layout, execution, and options make it look very entertaining. Are you ready to invite your friends over to your FF XIV house? No launch date for patch 2.1 has been released, but we here at PSU will be sure to report it as Square-Enix announces it.
