WB Games Montreal Job Listing Points To New Live Service DC Game

Developer WB Games Montreal has posted a job listing for an Executive Producer to work on a new live service game based on the DC Universe.

As an Executive Producer, you will lead the development of a high-quality AAA game based on one of the iconic IPs from the vast Warner Bros. and DC Comics catalog. You will oversee the entire production lifecycle—from concept to launch and beyond—ensuring the game meets the highest standards of quality, innovation, and player engagement. You will work closely with the Creative Director and studio leadership to align creative vision with production realities, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure the project delivers on time, on budget, and to critical and commercial success.

The listing further mentions in the ‘Production Oversight’ heading the the candidate’s role will be to “oversee all phases of development, from concept to post-launch live operations.”

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment hasn’t had the best of track records with live service games, as its last major effort, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, was a massive disappointment both critically and commercially. That title was developed by Rocksteady Studios, who are known for their single-player Batman games, although clearly Suicide Squad’s failure hasn’t deterred the publisher from letting another studio have a crack at the genre.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard murmurs of a new WB Games Montreal DC project, as back in October last year a job listing revealed that it was “working on AAA titles set in the DC Comics Universe. No specific franchise was mentioned, but the studio has previously worked on titles such as Batman: Arkham Origins and Gotham Knights.
