Visual Concepts has scored a UK number one with WWE 2K24, which has pushed last week’s chart champ Final Fantasy VII Rebirth down to second place.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched on February 29, 2024 and saw an 89% drop in sales in comparison to its launch week, with boxed sales of WWE 2K24 increasing by 26% compared to its predecessor. Hogwarts Legacy continues to pull in the punters in third place, with chart staples Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and EA Sports FC 24 rounding out the top 5.
As previously reported, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s boxed sales were down 30% over 2020’s Final Fantasy VII Remake, although in Japan, Square Enix’s title has the second best physical launch sales figure for a PS5 game ever.
