Yakuza 3 Remastered Won’t Be Available As Standalone Purchase Following Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Release

SEGA and Ryu ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Yakuza 3 Remastered will no longer be available to purchase as a standalone title following the launch of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Instead, the game is going to be exclusively available via Yakuza Complete Series bundle.

Yakuza 3 Remastered is based on the original 2009 version of the action-brawler, which was released as pat of the Yakuza Remastered Collection and could also be snapped up individually. It’s also included in the Yakuza Complete Series bundle, which features Yakuza Zero: Director’s Cut all the way through to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life on PS5 and PS4.

Here’s what RGG Studio had to say in a statement:

We place great importance on staying faithful to our creative direction, and we hope you will enjoy the completely new experiences we have envisioned for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Those who already own Yakuza 3 Remastered will still be able to continue playing it. For those new to the series who wish to experience the original version, it will be available with purchase of the Yakuza Complete Series bundle.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is scheduled for release on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S on February 12, 2026.
