Yooka-Laylee; the spiritual successor to Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie series, has reached its final stretch goal in the last 24 hours of its Kickstarter campaign and is now starting its journey to all major formats -including PlayStation 4- by the end of 2016.
The initial funding goal for the 3D Platformer was a mere $175,000 and was met rapidly. In the 47 days the campaign was running it amassed £2.09 million on Kickstarter and a further £30,000 through PayPal donations. Other stretch goals included an orchestral score, an N64-style shader, two-to-four player mode and most importantly where we are concerned; a PS4 release.
We certainly look forward to playing the adventures of the Chameleon and Bat combo late next year.
