NIS America and Falcom have pulled the lid off the Ys IX: Monstrum Nox PS5 release date, confirming the game will launching in the US on May 9 and in Europe on May 12, 2023. The PS5 version of the game will include all previously released DLC on top of the base experience.
If you’re still interesting splashing out on the Limited Edition version of the game, then get over to the NIS America Online Store sharpish, as they’re still taking preorders. In case you forgot, this includes the game, the official soundtrack CD, a prequel short novel ‘The Lost Sword,’ art card collection, a 200-piece puzzle and a collector’s box.
Ys IX: Monstrous Nox was originally released in Japan back in September 2019 for the pS4, and arrived for Sony’s last-generation console in the US and Europe in February 2021. The game also made it to Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch later that same year.
Unfortunately, the game’s publisher has revealed that there is no upgrade path for PS4 owners of the game, so if you want the PS5 edition you’ll just have to buy it outright.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is out on PS5 in the US on May 9 and in Europe on May 12.
