It’s the end of an era as the ESA confirms that E3 has been cancelled for good.

ReedPop and the ESA have parted ways, and ReedPop will not be working on any future E3 events, the companies have announced.

The ESA won’t hold E3 2024 in Los Angeles, but is reportedly going to be overhauled for the following year.

E3 has been cancelled for 2024 and 2025, according to the last general meeting of the LA City Tourism Commission for the LA Convention Centre.

Take-Two’s chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick believes E3 “served a great purpose,” and that other companies “took E3 for granted.”

E3 2023 has officially been cancelled, as ReedPop felt the event “simply did not garner the sustained interest necessary” for this year.

After Ubisoft revealed it would no longer be attending E3 2023 yesterday, SEGA and Tencent have also reportedly backed out of the event.
