[UPDATE] Killzone 2 demo hitting Europe/U.S. this week

UPDATE:
According to ThreeSpeech.com, our friends across the pond aren't the only lucky gamers expecting a demo of Killzone 2 this week, with North America also receiving the demo this Thursday.
The demo, based on the first level named Corinth River, is split into two parts. The first takes you through "Beach Landing" (Helghan's Normandy?) and the second is the "Warehouse." You can also expect the tutorial to help you through each section, as we're sure the gamers who weren't lucky enough to beta the game shall need it.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has announced that a demo of Killzone 2 will be made available for download on February 5, 2009.
According to VG247, the demo will give players a taste of the first level in the game, featuring two fully playable sections of the stage. A tutorial sequence will also be included.
Killzone 2 is scheduled for release on February 27. In the meantime, be sure to check out our full review of the hotly anticipated FPS right here.

this is definately my most anticipated game EVER!! but..... i'm not gonna download the demo..... yes i know i'm crazy but i want everything to be brilliant on 27th and i don't want to play it now. id rather wait...... BUT THIS IS KILLING ME!! WHY RELEASE A DEMO SONY?!?!? WHY?!?!

I reserved a copy from gamestop so I could get the demo early. That sucks if the demo is going to be released to everyone, including those who did not reserve a copy from gamestop. I thought I would have an edge but kinda defeats the purpose of reserving a copy! I could have reserve elsewhere to get a better exclusive deal like Home's Killzone costume or something...

@23 For one thing, this is a killzone discussion . Second, RE5 demo has been in the JP STORE since during the Super Bowl last night. 2/1. It has been on the 360 crap box for about two weeks now. Back to topic... AWESOME!!!!!!!

I very much doubt that the demo will be released to the public on 2/5/09...I'm assuming that the statement was taken out of context and that the 'demo' this thursday, is only for those who preordered through gamestop (at least here in the U.S.)
Threespeech doesn't have a link to any official U.S. press release...so where did they get the info from?

We all knew the demo was out on the 5th, it was on the card for when we pre-ordered the game from Gamestop.

WOW!!! Didn't see this coming at all. To tell you the truth I really don't want to play the demo cause I want to experience all of the awesomeness of the full game when it releases with zero spoilers. "slaps self"O.O who the heck am I kidding....BRING IT ON SONY!!!!!!
