Deadline Games signs deal with Eidos

Posted on September 12th, 2007 at 10:52 EDT

Deadline Games, developers of titles such as Total Overdose and the PlayStation Portable spin-off Chile Con Carnage, have signed a three-year contract with Eidos to develop a total of ten games based on the characters from Hanna-Barbera licenses.

Hanna-Barbera Licenses include a number of classic franchises spanning over four decades, including The Smurfs, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, Yogi the Bear, Johnny Quest and Tom & Jerry.

The titles will be developed for a variety of platforms, though no specific consoles have been confirmed as of yet.

It would be great to see some of these old cartoons revived in the gaming world  - let's just hope that Deadline and Eidos will do these licenses justice.

Stay tuned to PSU for more information as it becomes available.

PLEASE NO MORE SCOOBY DOO, I loved him as a child, but now they're milkin him, please let him die, he's like a thousand in dog years, and now the scooby snacks are catchin up with him, other than that, I would love to see what they do with the johnny quest licences, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO MORE SCOOBYDOO SPIN-OFFS (BTW- Harvey Birdman attorney at law made me love those characters again, Adult Swim's the $H!T)
