Electronic Arts has cleverly held back information regarding its latest racing outing, Need for Speed Undercover, in preparation for a viral marketing campaign.
Now, similar to Resistance 2's many viral websites, whichroadtotake.com has surfaced for Undercover. The website's video feed features an unruly interrogation gone terribly wrong, while a timestamp at the bottom hints that the game could be fully revealed on August 20, 2008. Many items within the video can be clicked on, revealing additional live action videos featuring actress Christina Milian. One of the items provides access to the following live action/CGI trailer for the game.
The following info is all that is currently known about NFS Undercover. The title has had an 18 month development cycle rather than the standard 12 month cycle for past NFS games, partially due to Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello's dissatisfaction with NFS Pro Street. Also, EA Black Box has confirmed that the title will take place in an open sandbox environment, again in contrast to the closed courses of Pro Street.
Need for Speed Undercover is scheduled to launch on November 18, 2008. We'll have additional details for you shortly.

@ #1 - Agreed.
my favorite without a doubt is NFSU2, it had the best handling. Most Wanted is so fake and slowwwww.

For me the last decent NFS was Hot Pursuit 2. Instead of improving the series EA has just gone down hill ever since. It's too bad because NFS was the first game I played on the original PS and is the reason I bought a Playstation. Of course EA back then was an entirely diferrent company then the beast it has become.

Oh please let this be true! If EA brings back the cop chases and open environment while maintaining the street feel of Underground 2 then all will be forgiven with this franchise. EA, you know what you have to do. Make it happen

I stopped supporting the NFS series after the embarrasing release of carbon. EA I guess ran out of ideas, and dug a big hole for it. PSN ID-Demented007

Please be as good as Most Wanted, can you do that EA? This is actually in fact looking great for a Need For Speed game. I don't know why but it looks like the Fast And The Furious or reminds me of that since it seems like it has a lot of action, gang members, hot chicks and guns.

when it came out, need for speed hot pursuit 2 was absolutely amazing. i was in love with it. then underground came out, and i was in love with it. underground 2 was awesome as well. most wanted was awesome. carbon sucked. prostreet sucked. they better bring back the cops and give you the choice to either have an exotic, or tune a slower car. not be able to throw a widebody on a lambo. personally i say they need to make a hot pursuit 3, no more tuning others. just more exotics than you can shake a stick at. and also underground 3, with more tuners than you can shake a stick at, and nothing else. no muscle, no exotics.

I have to agree with most of the comments, Since NFS Most Wanted ( Which was awsome) the series has gone down hill. Bring Back the Cops and open environment. With pro street its just straight racing on closed courses, There are alot of straight racing games out there. Thats why I cant wait till Midnight Club comes out.

That statement echo's my exact sentiments for the franchise. I remember Playing the original three NFS games back when they were made, IIRC, by the canadian branch of EA ah yes that was a truely different EA not the garbage copy machine is has become today!
And yes that game alone(NSF 1) was the reason I buggered my mom and dad to buy me a playstation(didn't work yet!) back in '95 Sigh...
