Gaming tournaments seem to be synonymous with Halo, Counter Strike, World of Warcraft, Madden, and Unreal Tournament, with Warhawk now joining that tradition. Sony has partnered with the GGL in order to bring fans of the game an official team Warhawk tournament.

Registration has been open for nearly a month now, and will remain so until June 29. Though registration is open until that time, the ladder officially commences on May 27; if you want the best opportunity to advance through the ladder, you'll want to start as close to May 27 as possible, if not on that date itself.

Winners will be receiving custom Warhawk statues as well as an in-game Champions Blade. Unfortunately, this tournament is available to US residents only.

For those of you eligible and interested in taking part in the tournament, click here to sign up.

Go Warhawk!  I don't play it anymore, but I always thought it was special.  It's nice to see it has legs.  Pretty nice.

Warhawk= Online only, go-anywhere-do-anything futuristic war game. Great visuals, but it's dona little like a cartoon, like last gen Grand theft auto (only next gen). The ULTIMATE Rock/paper/scissors online game. Whether you are in a tank, jeep, plane or turret, someone can beat you and you can beat someone else. Team tactics are worth it, but when I played, people didn't speak much. Lastly, There are DM, TDM, Capture the flag (my fave) and a "capture-the-zones" type game. There may be be more, but I never got any of the expension packs (though they looked cool). I highly recommend the game.

NOOOOOO!!!! WHY ONLY US!?!?!? I just recently started playing this again for the fifth time :( And my finals have also just been finished... Damn it! This was the perfect time for me, and then I'm not allowed because of my ancestors wanted to move to this little piece of !@#$ country!

    Yes I'm mad...It's a really awesome game...

Warhawk is fun. but can be VERY agrovating when you get pros in Warhawks flying around killing everyone. You cant even get out of your spawn point without being owned lol.. Still good game though. And yh its a very rock paper scissors game. Which im not totally sure if i like.

This is my favorite online game! Some of the maps are so huge that even in teams, sometimes you feel like a lone wolf it gets very adventurous( I cant spell). I also enjoy the CLOSE CORIDORS layout, its such a small warzone the battles get very exiting. PS: the rag doll effects of a grenade kill are hilarious too.
