Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will be releasing a videogame adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince across multiple formats later this year.
Developed by EA Bright Light Studio, the game will be released to coincide with the upcoming movie release of Half-Blood Prince in Autumn 2008.
Bright Light Studio Head, Harvey Elliot, commented, "We believe that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game represents a milestone in the movie tie-in genre.”
"Building on the technological advancements of previous games in the series and with a particular focus on the unique control system of Nintendo's Wii, the team here is working closely with the filmmakers to create an immersive interactive experience that captures the story, the action, the excitement and, above all, the fun of the film."
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, PC, Xbox 360, Wii and DS formats in Autumn 2008.

These type of games make me laugh. The movies are great, as are the books. But please EA, why are you making a friggin' game of Harry Potter? Will you do anything to get money? Even create a terrible game based on an amazingly selling Movie / book!?

The Wii version was actually quite fun for the fifth, not sure about the other console versions. Also, EA needs to dig theirselves a nice hole, they have killed themselves in two years...
