New Silent Hill 5 details emerge

The latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine has unveiled some new details on Konami’s forthcoming next-generation outing, Silent Hill V.

According to the publication, the fifth instalment in the popular horror franchise will signal the return of the ubiquitous flashlight and radio items, which have featured in every Silent Hill title to date with the exception of 2004’s Silent Hill 4: The Room.

Furthermore, the magazine stated the game would include full 3D camera movements, and hinted at the possibility of Sixaxis functionality to be included in the PlayStation 3 version of the game. No further details were revealed, however.

Silent Hill V is currently scheduled for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

    That's what I want implement the hardware strong side on the game, now include additional content on the bluray.

    If the gameplay is anything like resident evil 4 then this game will do so much better.

    yay they decided to return to the original concept flashlight and radio i mean cause between u and me 4 was a big pile of sh!t thats right. can i write dodie guess i can hehe

    No, no RE4 style gameplay, it took the scaryness from RE4 and it would take it from SH.

    yea Silent Hill V ownz! It better be scary this time, something i was hoping for SH4, but failed...still a good story to it tho :)

    Yeah the gameplay from RE4 made it more action and less thinking...They need to bring the RE franchise back to its roots and make it like part one...I think that was the best one, the one they remade for the GC that is

    i hope SH6 will be ps3-exclusive. but hey, maybe they cancel the 360 version of SH5.
